Last night, WWE had shocked wrestling fans across the world as Goldberg defeated Brock Lesnar in less than 2 minutes in the main event. The big question is why did WWE book the match that way considering the fact that Lesnar was strongly pushed throughout the last few years. He broke the Undertaker’s Wrestlemania Streak, destroyed John Cena and Randy Orton.
According to the Wrestling Observer Radio, Lesnar was originally meant to win the match but it was changed this week. Goldberg has made a deal with WWE to appear at more dates with the company including the Royal Rumble
Here is an interesting part of this all, apparently Brock Lesnar played a big role in how that match played out. Lesnar reportedly pushed for Goldberg to get more WWE dates because he sees money in a longer term feud between him and Goldberg. WWE officials obviously agree considering how the match played out.
The match ending so quickly had nothing to do with Goldberg being injured or anything like that. The idea was to create a shocking moment, that got Goldberg over with the crowd.
