The Green Bay Packers have finally got the news they wanted, Aaron Rodgers is back.
Having broken his collarbone against the Minnesota Vikings on October 15th, Rodgers has finally recovered in time for Sunday’s highly anticipated game against the Carolina Panthers in a game which they must win if they are to reach the play-offs.
The 34 year old has been out for eight games and returned to practice on December 4th. In his absence, back up QB Brett Hundley won three out of seven games to give the Packers a 7-6 record with three must win games remaining.
The return of Rodgers will give the Packers the boost they needed. Through the first five weeks, Rodgers was leading the league in Touchdowns (13) and throwing three interceptions. He led the Packers to a 4-1 start before suffering his injury.
This Sunday, Green Bay will face Carolina in an important match-up for both teams with huge play-off implications. One thing’s for sure, Green Bay are back and they need to run the table if they want to progress to the Wild Card round.
