Philippe Coutinho’s transfer saga continues as it looks more and more likely he will be leaving Liverpool in this transfer window.
Reports are coming in that Barcelona are looking to offer £140 million for the Brazilian playmaker with £100m up front and the rest coming in incentives.
With the likely departure of Coutinho incoming, speculation mounts on who Liverpool will sign to replace the number 10.
Miguel Delaney of the Independent has said that the club are looking at Monaco winger Thomas Lemar and Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez as potential replacements.
Monaco had rejected bids from Liverpool for the Frenchman in the summer but should Coutinho leave, it is expected that the reds will table an offer.
Should the Thomas Lemar deal not work out, Riyad Mahrez seems likely as the replacement for Coutinho.
As well as looking at attacking options, Jurgen Klopp seems to be interested in signing a new goalkeeper with options such as Jack Butland, Jan Oblak and Roma’s Allison as possible targets.
