Everton have completed the signing of Theo Walcott from Arsenal in a deal worth more than £20m.
Walcott becomes San Allardyce’s second signing of the season after spending £27m on Turkish striker Cenk Tosun from Besiktas.
Walcott’s move to Everton ends his 12 year stay at Arsenal where he scored 108 goals in 397 appearances.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admitted he didn’t want the Englishman to leave but but said he couldn’t guarantee game time for Walcott in crucial World Cup year.
The fund received from the Walcott transfer is expected to be reinvested with Dortmund’s striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bordeaux forward Malcom as possible targets.
Arsenal are hoping to sign Henrikh Mkhitaryan in a deal which sends Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United.
